David was born in Savannah, Georgia, in 1947 and began his career in the investment industry in 1972 at the firm Johnson, Lane & Space. In 1991, he and a group from Interstate Johnson Lane helped open a Savannah office for the Birmingham-based firm Sterne, Agee & Leach, which was acquired by Stifel in 2015.
Leveraging nearly 50 years of investment industry experience, David enjoys serving clients with his son, George Barrow, and colleague Christopher Lane. David earned a B.A. from the University of Georgia and holds Series 1, 8, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including annuities). He also served in the U.S. military.
David and his wife, Elaine, enjoy family activities with their children and six grandchildren, including several boating and water activities.
Christopher knew what he wanted to do with his life from a young age. As a fifth-generation financial advisor, he wanted to continue the tradition of providing clients a high level of service while adapting to today's needs and concerns.
Christopher earned a B.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences from University of Georgia and the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® (CRPC®) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designations from the College for Financial Planning. He also holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including annuities).
Outside the office, Christopher enjoys being out on the water, playing golf, and spending time with his wife, Alix, and his two sons, Harris and Mills.
George is a second-generation financial advisor. He joined Stifel in 2015 upon the firm's acquisition of Sterne, Agee & Leach, Inc. He earned a B.S. in Travel Industry Management from the University of Hawaii and holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including annuities). George also acquired the Retirement Management Advisor® designation, which provides a multidisciplinary approach to retirement planning and explores best practices in developing strategies for customized risk assessment, unbiased guidance, and behavioral finance.
Outside the office, George enjoys stand-up paddling, surfing, playing tennis, and spending time with his wife, Marti, and two daughters, Lily and Kahala.
